This is for the Mom

This is for the mom who tells her kids they can be someone, go somewhere, do something big. This is for the mom who makes each kid feel like they are the most important child in her universe. This is for the mom who bakes cookies, throws a baseball and makes her children read before turning on the television.

This one is for the mom who worked a 9 hour day, but still manages to have dinner on the table and lunches in the paper sacks every single day. This is for the mom who writes her kids notes on yellow post-its just to remind them she is thinking of them.

This is for the mom who says I love you, you are important to me and you mean something to this world. This is for the mom who can make her children feel better with one look.

This is for the mom who never judges. The mom who is constantly lending an ear to help other women in need. The mom who leads by example and listens with an open mind. This is for the mom who once interviewed the president, but considers her three kids to be her greatest accomplishment.

This is for the mom who woke up one day to learn she had a tumor on her spine and had to have a major surgery to have that tumor removed. This is for the mom who was left with a disability from that surgery, but still manages to wake up each day and put one foot in front of the other because she knows her mind is stronger than her body. She knows her mind is stronger than her body. Her mind is stronger than her body.

This is for your Grandma, Jack. This was the very first time she held you.
